Our office staff is both friendly and warm and will do our best to make you feel at home. Their main purpose is to encourage and support you in your health care goals. They have been with us from the very beginning and were selected for our office because of their compassionate nature and desire to serve others.

Meet Dr. Mike

Dr. Michael Gallagher was born and raised in Stony Brook NY and is grateful to be able to live and work in the community in which he grew up. Dr. Gallagher attended local schools and graduated from Ward Melville High School in 1989. A short time later Dr. Gallagher attended college at Suffolk Community College and Stony Brook University where he finished his undergraduate studies. Later, continuing his education he graduated from the prestigious Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, Georgia in 1997.

After graduating he returned to Long Island, beginning his career in a multidiscipline office in Stony Brook for 7 years. He was then offered an opportunity to work in a gym facility treating patients through chiropractic care and physical rehabilitation. Dr. Gallagher took the knowledge and experience he gained and decided to go out on his own in 2007 and opened North Country Chiropractic, also known as North Country Health Spa, in Port Jefferson. Last fall; Dr. Gallagher celebrated his 12^th year as a practicing Chiropractor and is currently enjoying an ever-growing practice.

Dr. Gallagher entered this profession because of his sincere desire to serve the public. He is committed to excellence, and has completed several educational courses over the years related to the chiropractic profession. He recently completed studies with the Golf Institute and is certified in the area of biomechanical injury and treatment through chiropractic care.

Dr. Gallagher still resides in Stony Brook, the community in which he grew up in, with his wife Jennifer and has two children, April and Sean . He along with his wife Jennifer's strong sense of family has kept the couple active in their children's lives and thus, they have made generous contributions to the schools and service organizations in the community. They also contribute annually to the American Heart Association as well as maintain involvement with the Three Village School District. Dr. Gallagher has donated his time in the community as well, by coaching many youth sports including football, lacrosse and baseball. Dr. Gallagher has also had the honor and privilege of treating and training college level athletes from such schools as Stony Brook University, Fresno State University, UC Riverside and CW Post.

Dr. Gallagher encourages new residents as well as those who have called Suffolk County home for years to come in and get acquainted with his professional staff and to experience first-hand his knowledge and dedicated service in the area of chiropractic by making an appointment today for preventative chiropractic care.
